In the Shard
I honestly don't know what possessed me to drop everything else and draw this instead (maybe except my tab not saving my previous progess so i say eff that and moved on to another piece)(and with this fanfic building itself in my head, i just gotta release it somehow
)For context, Aidan is my Skykid and Alef is what everyone theorized as the first Child of Light, a being of Light sent by their diety to act as a bridge between the Ancients(humans) and the Light Creatures and ruled the Realms with the Elders but somehow got corrupted along the way (as Resh) and trapped in the Shard which destroyed his corrupted body and leaving only his Light form.
In the little fanfic in my head, i treat as two separate beings. Alef had conflicts with the Elder King, Resh, regarding the usage of the Starstone(Darkstone) and the looming power crisis which was a result of their overhunting of Light creatures to power the stones. Long story short, the War between the Elders and the Ancients against the Light Creature and those on their side happened with the ending being Alef allowing himself to be absorbed by the corrupted King, figuring it was the only way to get rid of the him. This allows the King to be trapped in the Shard (a very big Starstone) However, it becomes unstable and the Elders and everyone else dies following it's eruption.
Fast-forward, their deity created the 2nd Generation of Children of Light to restore the balance. They are hybrids, organic beings with Light as their core/hearts.
Aidan discovers that Alef is alive deep in the Shard. Being a hybrid, the Shard will slowly crystalize Aidan's body the longer he stays and Alef tells him to leave. Aidan promises to set him free as he hoped he could help him stop the brewing war against the Humans and the Skyfolk..
