@Vaelyane's post on Artfol

I have a very strange problem. When I haven't performed a specific task for too long, I have trouble getting it started again. It's like I somehow don't even remember how.

This happens all the time with my art. ๐Ÿ˜‚
I haven't sketched in a while, and it feels as if I completely forgot how to do so.

At other times, if I paint only digitally for a month, it feels like torture getting back into watercolours again.

I often feel like my brain gets stuck on a specific task or set of tasks, and once it's going, I can't really move on to another one. (These days, that different task is often a video game, which is NOT HELPFUL AT ALL)

i have sth like, drawing a sketch that might be a cool design but idk how to draw it, then i wait 1-6 years to find it back and tell myself "okay, i feel skilled enough to take that concept" ๐Ÿ˜‚

Maybe you can set up a specific amount of time to every activity and then pass to another one, so you do variety of activities on the day (10-15 mins each one) and your brain doesnโ€™t get stuck with only one
