Hey y'all, let's talk art style!

I'm working on figuring out a few consistent styles for myself, but it's also very hard. To those of you who have consistent styles, what process did y'all use to get there?

Those of you with multiple styles (which is what I'm aiming for), do you have names for your different styles? How do you keep them distinct? Do you have different situations that you use them for?

You don’t need to search for your style. Your style will find you.

Is what I usually say. Style being a way of drawing or doing things in a way you feel comfortable with. So it’s kind of pieced together of habit, stuff you learned, stuff you like (especially inspirations you took from other paintings, pictures and so on) and a good chunk of laziness. Because if you can do something in an easy relaxed way … why would you choose to do it in a way you find hard and that frustrates you? (There are exceptions of course >u<)
Just my general rule of thumb.
It takes a lot of trial and error. Get inspiration from several art media’s you like including cartoons, games, other artists, etc. (Just make sure you don’t copy their exact same style). Keep practicing and sketching/writing out ideas. I have 4 different art styles. One is my main one, the second is a more simplified/cartoony version of my main one, the other is for furry stuff, and last one is for nsfw art. All but the nsfw style are what I call the romero art styles lmao
Here’s what I did I Google art of my inspirations mesh them together and learn the basics of anime art like for example changing the eye shape depending on their personality, character etc. then combine all of the rules and things that inspire me into one art style
I just sorta drew while meshing a buncha art I liked from all sort of different things and just kinda drawing a lot „solidified“ idk really how to explain it🥲👉👈
I just doodled a ton and over time developed a style, ( I can clearly see the evolution of my style over that past couple years when I look through school notebooks) it has left me with multiple styles but one main one that I use while worldbuilding. But I dont have any names for the different styles
I just tried different styles until I found one I was comfortable with. I have two styles, they're not super different but one has more detailed lineart.
