Sparrow the parrot harpy
So thank God this did save(auto save is the best)Sparrow(named after Jack Sparrow in the pirates of the Caribbean)(because she's a parrot) is a parrot harpy, or parrpy.
She's a part of a group of other parrot Harpy's that are almost like preformers.
Parrpys as a species love attention, so they will do anything that involves them getting on stage in front of a bunch of people. Some sing, some hold Broadway like plays and preformances, etc
Sparrows design is heavily inspired by Illy the harpy in "Monster Girl Doctor". Ironically I used a full body image of Illy as a reference for this project.
Also the out fit was hard, I didn't want to straight up copy illys clothes but I also wanted it to be flashy and attention grabbing(which I couldn't do)
I especially wanted to have those little loose tassel things on illys top on sparrow or something similar but couldn't think of a way to add it without ripping off illys design
I am especially proud of myself for how I did the colors on the wings. I used a soft airbrush to do a smooth gradient from color to color.
The parrpys will play a role in ALTered when Kami and lyra start singing on stage with there new parrot harpy friends performing around them and fireworks you name it. Still in development but this scene will also further Lyra's romantic interest in Kami.
Also she has robotic hands on her little harpy stump claws.Aug 19, 2025
