separate a new layer for color. Select the space of the lineart with magic wand, polygon, magnetic, brush selection, pick your poison, and expand a few pixel out to prevent gaps. fill in with color. I personally go with quick flats and focus more on lighting/shading

•for faster, I use the lasso fill tool (paint bucket is ok but I have a lot of gaps and sketchy lines in my doodles so lasso fill is quicker than bucket fill) it's made me start coloring my doodles again cuz it's so quick

•I like to use bucket or section tools when colouring, they speed up the process a lot :)
You could also collab with another artist to allow them to color your art, and you both take credit for the piece!

•Shade first and color after, it creates a interesting effect during the proccess. Also bucket fill the heck out of it if there is too much stuff to be colored. This will save your wrist a lot of pain
