Gnost Canyon CityI had a realisation about the gnost homeworld - which I’ve finally named Takiwa - that I’ve been subconsciously imagining a lot of its look on “Dinotopia without the dinosaurs” (and even that’s not quite right given the prominent presence of mizuchi and dragonets). Which was really helpful, actually, because I can use it to supplement my references. :P
So this is the best drawing of a canyon city I’ve managed so far! The general infrastructure has the habitable areas built into the walls, drawing power from the wind and river flowing through the canyon and pumping water up to irrigate farmland on the surface. The next time I draw it I think I’ll work on making the architecture and technology less generic, and there should be several more bridges, both natural and artificial.Jun 25, 2021
