I feel like using :3 is kinda similar, so I substitute with it. Some people still get mad at me when I use it, but less often. I think the others things are ruined because E-daters and overall weird people used it way too much and it just became their thing.

I mean, i love when people are funny or silly or cringe. And i like it when people use a lot of emoji or emoticons (these people often wear their hearts on their sleeves). Why people be irritated though? I still don't get it either 
. My only guess is maybe they feel like you're immature for using emoticons? (Still, it's not justified one bit to send death threats because of emoticons).

death threats is crazy… people are way too sensitive, horrible!! like its not that deep its fr just a cat face, but ppl will be hating on anything really
