Thanks to covid I became more aware of it too, I always try not to touch anything in buses and subways and if possible wash my hands before eating anything in university (and then try my best to not touch any door handles going out of the bathroom too 
)
But I dont sanitize my hands all the time, my skin would be so destroyed
