Freddie as Mercury/Hermes

I've always wondered where Freddie got the idea for his last name from, and although there are different theories, this one is one of my favs: Mercury, the messenger of the gods Also god of deception, eloquence and trade. I love to think Freddie used his voice to communicate to the people straight from heaven, as a messenger of the gods! What do you think about it?
