Unique name struggles: going someplace where they call out your name when your order is ready but they got your name wrong so you're not sure if they're calling you or someone else.

For me, in today's case, I went to Playa Bowls and they put down my name as "Tula." As orders were called out, everyone picked up their order immediately but when "Tula" was called out, no one came, and the bowl looked like the type that I ordered so I was like yeah they probably mean me... I asked an employee and they said just take it, it was the type that I ordered. Most likely mine ("Tula" isn't very common either) but it was still awkward to pick up an order that wasn't under my actual name!

I also got pizza today and they don't even call names or hand it to you. They just put it on the counter and you have to guess which is yours based on looks and how long ago you ordered, lmao.

I’ve adapted 3 names for myself, my American name that’s separate from my legal name as it’s more of a nickname than anything, the American way of pronouncing my name being whatever it looks closes to the way it’s spelt and then the actual ethnic pronunciation of it.
Eventually you just learn all the different ways people mess up your name, so you know they're talking about you even if they get the name totally wrong.
