What are one of your favourite stories? A small description & genre!

I really enjoy stories that are more character driven & psychological.
And I’m in love with fantasy!

I like fantasy and comedy stuff mostly. Especially when a more serious type of story manages to maintain it's humor in a non jarring way(no tonal clash). The Discworld series is my fave fantasy series because of this, although it is still more humor focused. The creativity of the world building makes it fun too:D
The best of best are noir films from the '40s, with ethically questionable protagonists, complex characters, strong light and shadow contrasts. But I like any genre as long as the story is one shot (no series) and it narrates well the events and the emotions, and touches multiple aspects of the chosen topic, and leaves me still reflecting on in for days. I only don't like horrors.
Anything wholesome, historical fiction I lean to as well
Of course the odd story that challenge things are great too :]
A mix of Thriller and Romance!
Most of those have all that I am looking for. It gives me drive to continue reading, it inspires me, it makes me go through a roller coaster of emotions, and usually the characters are well written and have good character development, there are no plot holes and it's just truly interesting.
One good example would be the webtoon "It's Mine" which is my favourite story Ive ever read. It inspired me so much.
I also write romance-thriller with my best friend which I really enjoy!

Though I also like romcoms :)
Often comes back to fantasy or historical, but as long as the characters are interesting/feels real almost anything goes:)
Horror/fantasy. I'm reading keeper of the lost cities atm
Ooh I like so many type of stories help...
Of course I'm in love with fantasy (especially high fantasy, where the writer invented a whole new world, species, languages etc, it's so impressive to me!)
And I like "meta" stories, like books in books or stories in stories!
But also adventurous stories where there isn't any pointless or forced romantic relationships (like... Let them be friends please—) 🤔🤔🤔
