Who We Really Are
My first post on artfol, hello!This drawing is quite old, I have drawn it sometime in 2019 but it is still one of my most favourite pieces of all time.
I do love Genji. I do love his dark and tragic story, it is something I do somehow relate to and I can explore all of my sinister thoughts when drawing him. It is cathartic to be honest.

Blackwatch. One of the most fucked up eras of them all I believe.
They finished a bloody mission, fresh blood is dripping from Genji’s face. And he seems to be indifferent, as if killing people is as mundane as eating your daily breakfast every morning.
Apathy caused by traumatic events. Hunting for adrenaline because that is all that defeats the numbness, no matter the potential danger that could one encounter.
A silent realisation that this new reality removes all humanity from one. In that moment, he does not care. Because everything else is better than being reminded of the pain. All he feels is the adrenaline rushing through his veins and the rain on what is left of his real skin.Jun 28, 2021
