OH MY GOD
I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT LUTHER'S BIRTHDAY FUCK- I FEEL SO GUILTY-
On January 26th he turned 3... I completely missed that date... oh my God IM SO SORRY LUTHER-
I feel like a horrible oc parent D,:
Please forgive me
But anyways... I may as well talk about him now that he's reached such a milestone!
Luther has went through so much change. It's weird thinking his first design looks nothing like him now!
It was akin to a dragon mixed with a swamp monster... frills on his head, a dragon-like face, slit pupils, no hair, and short dragon horns. You probably wouldn't even think they are the same character if I put them by eachother...
He was originally a close friend and bodyguard for Perci in his first story, but ever since then he's changed completely.
After dozens of random design and personality phases, he's who he is now: the himbo pirate captain we all love.
I don't really think anyone understand just how much he means to me. Like- I may have talked about having comfort characters in the past, like Wammawink and GR Freddy, but tbh none of them can compare to him as one. Dude has managed to comfort me during moments of my life where I felt horrible and wanted to never come out of my room more than once, and tbh he just brings me the most joy out of all of my ocs. I'm seriously so glad that I made him.
Anyways, sappy stuff aside, have some fun facts about him:
- Luther was originally named Moss, but less than a day after I named him, I discovered the name Luther from a episode of Hoarders and was like "Huh, neat name. I should make that his name" and boom, there we go.
- Luther is something called a saldae, which are large mammalian creatures that have traits of equine creatures like bulls and alligators (but are not a hybrid of the two). You are allowed to make your own, however for that I need to make a species ref sheet for total accuracy. We don't gate off creativity here lmao.
Also yes the species name was randomly generated lmao-
- A lot of design phases for Luther were made because I was influenced by media and wanted to me more like them. That's why Perci and Luther were originally I space! Sadly, they aren't now and are stuck to the ground lol
- Perci and Luther were slated to be with eachother ever since his creation. While Luther was designed to just be a friend of his at first, I soon started to ship the two and now they're together forever :)
I have too many drafts of their first encounter with eachother lmao-
I wish I had more fun facts about his development, but tbh most of those "fun facts" are just about his old designs and backstories. However, if you have any questions about him, I will gladly answer any! Seriously I'd love to talk more about his current story, I'm really proud of it! :D
