Inktober (Day 30): Rush
Store clerk: "Hello sir, we're closing in ten minutes."Me: "Ten minutes is all I need!"
This interaction pretty much happened all the time whenever I managed to reach the nearest grocery store after finishing up a late shift at work.
The prompt word has somewhat of a double meaning with this piece since this is one among many I did this month where I rushed to complete before the day was out. And even then, I would end up staying after midnight to finish them anyway. Oh, well.
