QOTD: what is your favorite kind of compliment about your art?
I think my favorite is when my landscape/lighting is complimented! Specifically a “I wish I could be there” or “I wish I could live in that painting”! I make it my own personal interest to paint where I want to live so this is incredibly vindicating for me.

If there’s a part of my artwork that I’ve put a lot of time and effort into, and someone comments on that specifically, weather that is a piece of clothing or hair, I’ll become sooo happy. Like there is one piece I’ve done that includes a cloak of feathers (my profile pic actually hahah) which I spent a reeeaaally long time rendering, and I’m very proud of it, so when others have pointed the feathers out and say they look nice idk I just feel a greater sense of “I did a really good job with this”. You know?

I love it when people compliment the hair I draw cuz I always feel like I’m bad at it hahahah or backgrounds. It’s always an honour to have a background complimented honestly-

hmmm usually stuff about the oc I've drawn more than the actual art

•I really get excited when folks ask questions about my characters. "Who are they? I wanna hug them!" Stuff like that where their design alone makes them want to know more.

When people are able to be a bit specific about what they like! Personalized compliments are pretty great! But being told that people love my characters & that they find them adorable will probably always be heartwarming to hear!

Or whenever I say I was inspired by ghibli and ppl see the influence, that makes me very happy!

•I love it when I draw a funny short comic and people tell me how funny it is and that they laughed about it. It makes me feel SO GOOD

- the time my friend said "If you made a webtoon, I would read it."
- when my friend called me her favourite animatic youtuber (I made 2 in total but STILL)
- another friend who called herself my #1 fan and keeps telling me how much I progressed since we got to know each other.
In general compliments by real life friends hit different qwq
BUT one of my fav mutuals recently called me "sweetie" and said my art was "marvelous" and I wanted to CRY
Also
