So, I was shopping in this place idk what to call it but it’s like a big open place with a roof over it but it’s not a mall with AC and stuff, it’s just a plain with stalls selling clothes n shit. I was shopping for sport clothes because I’ve been playing basketball in jeans for the past month or something so I needed that, and I was shopping for it. Then this entitled Karen looking lady and her friend were gossiping about me she said “look Martha, a little sweet girl shopping for boy-ish clothes. If this was me back in the day, I would’ve been taken to the church counselor!” And they laughed hysterically. I was so confused, there were so many things wrong with that initial sentence, I wanted to punch her for some reason. First of all, they were sports clothes! What do you want me to wear? A floral summer dress??? And what’s wrong with “boy-ish” clothes anyway? What era is this? The 1700s?? I mean in my defense she was wearing jeans and a T-shirt, do I tell her she’s wearing boy-ish clothes?? NO!! (Also “little sweet girl” was a tad bit offensive to me tbh) maybe she should go see a church counselor herselfMar 11, 2024
