I don't have threads and I don't see the point. It is advertised on my Instagram home page. At first it would show controversial and discriminatory takes. Now it's just posts repeating "artists artists artists" trying to influence the algorithm to show them that, but no info about what these people do there other than looking for art, and why I should be interested in their posts. Anyway I have nwver had Twitter, so maybe that's why I don't see interest in a Twitter competitor either.

I keep seeing ads of it with controversial ass posts designed to make you mad so it seems a lot like twitter + Instagram comment sections 
there was also a whole scandal about it stealing your data and that you're not able to delete your account without also deleting your instagram account (if you connect the two) so I'm staying far away from it

I think it died down a bit after it launched. I use blue sky! Lotsa artist and very interactable people there, thing is though you'd need an invite code that you request from them or is given to you by a friend.

I've been using it for a few days now and I must tell you, it's not useful to share art really
The algorithm is a mess, and apparently changes with every word you write, like if you write math or sand you will start to see only posts about those random words, so it's hard to see art for you and for others. Not to mention the main page completely disappear at times and you can't see anything at all
I'm mostly using it to interact with some mutuals but yeah, it's not that good
