MegatonThis is the first instalment of a small collection in making called ‘Gays in Space’ it’s a mishmash of all my favourite things, zombie apocalypse, space and psychedelic colour palette.
Asking for a critique as I tried a lot of new things in this illustration. Do the colours work well? How’s the line quality? Does it matter that I’m messy with details?

Really digging the composition here!
The color of the blood is a little bit harsh on the eyes in areas. Some simple shading or even a little bit of a shadow could make it easier.
I’m not sure if killing zombies counts as gore but it wouldn’t hurt to tag it as such? (I’m not sure what everyone’s comfort level is with this stuff, as a usual squeamish person this didn’t really bother me too much)
But other than that I’m digging the concept, the colors and the potential here of this project of yours ^_^
