Weird crossover time. One (BFDI:TPOT) and Liliya Bogomolova (The Outlast Trials) remind me of each other. Both are homicidal manipulators that are willing to sacrifice people to achieve a larger goal. One has a savior complex (at least that's how I see her) and being a Lovecraftian apocalypse level abomination, and Liliya has this extreme Christian sacrifice thing (speaking in the supposed language of God, compelling followers to mutilate themselves and drain all their wealth for sacrifice, etc). And not to mention One being delusional and downright insane and Liliya having no qualms with becoming an ascetic dripping in hoarded treasure, becoming like the people she targets for manipulation and mutilation. I was thinking about The Outlast Trials and my One obsession crept in, and I thought "that reminds me of something."May 22, 2026
