Lost in Thoughts in the Woods

I wanted to give a go to some new handmade watercolor I got from EriciusArtsShop on etsy , and a forest was the perfect subject! Though given my aversion towards background I turned it into a stylized portrait of my dear Ehlrich XD

They were a ton of fun to use! I used de brown Pisaster and green Asphodel for the trees and the shirt, they add a ton textures to the painting and were super easy to rewet! I also used some of their green Gouache Like to add some little pops of green here and there, though I got an hard time getting used to it's big drying color shift. Nevertheless, I'm excited to try out some more colors from this shop!!

I also used the trusty Tiger Eyes and Peach from MashasWatercolors' etsy for his hair and skin, these two are starting to carve their way into my main palette given how often I use them hahaFeb 18, 2022
