Miranda
So i decided i wanna humanize the states of Venezuela as a project hsjsh,,, the focus is maximalist desings and kinda thinking of them as fighting game characters
im going slowly but heres the first one Here's a lot of text of me explaining
Miranda (the state that im from so probably the one that is gonna has the most details hshhs)
Is mostly based of cultural celebrations of the state, mainly Los diablos danzantes de Yare, La parranda de San Pedro and La Cruz de Mayo.
Los Diablos danzantes de Yare is a religious celebration when people dress as a demon and dance to a church, it is on the mask, horns, the rosary and kinda the slippers.
La Parranda de San Pedro is in the flag and doll on the pants (it involves blackface, those are the elements i could save
)La Cruz de Mayo is the giant cross they have, its not exclusively from Miranda but all of our celebrations like those and others (Parranda de San Juan and Palmeros de Chacao) have in common carriyng a religious item like a cross or altar so i thought it is appropiate to be their main theme. It works as a weapon that just hits people and a giant gun
The details of the pants say "libertad o muerte" (liberty or death) that is what the emblem of the state says because i thought it goes hard.
The color palette was very clear because all of those celebration use mostly red or yellow and it fits with the flag so thats it.
She has a mango because i ask my mom for feedback and she told me he needed more mango, its true because theres a mango tree in like every corner, i've never seen someone buying a mango. Also she was supposed to be a girl but my mom called a him so now hes gerderfluid.Mar 21, 2024
