I don't write text posts often but I really wanted to say how much i appreciate the way artfol is when it comes to posting stuff ^^
I remember posting some studies under the critique category to get some feedback and improve, and everyone would nicely suggest stuff then. i really appreciated it cuz i could then apply them
It also made me realise how hurtful criticism can be when uncalled for... I do feel like am being too extra?? about it cuz at the end of it people do mean well (i would assume so at least haha) but it kinda gets you down if you shared something you just made and someone pointed out things that could be improved.
Like obviously I can always improve and draw better and you never stop learning, there always things to do better cuz u can never do something perfectly. It's just a lil bit upsetting cuz you don't exactly need someone to point it out for you, it already takes courage to post something when you wanna do your best :(

You're not overreacting at all! I believe unsolicited advise is a no no cuz the artist highly likely already knew what's wrong with their own artwork but decided not to improve it at that time, or it might be an artistic decision. Artfol does allow for a safe and healthy criticism and I'm down for it :))
