Helloooo, Im new, probably this account won’t exist :). Butttt, I’m here to see what this app has to offer. Ik this app was requested for a better app than Instagram bc of the algorithm but I read some reviews that said that I still can’t get ppl to see ur drawings. Welcome to Artfol!!! There isn’t an algorithm here, it’s pretty much entirely chronological order (except for the What’s Hot page, we don’t quite know how that one works!)
The best way I’ve found to grow on here is to interact with other users through either complimenting art or through the Community Tab! (I’ve got like 200 followers on here & I don’t know where else they came from other than me commenting on stuff!)
If you want a question to appear in the Questions Tab, add the hashtag “question” in the hashtag section of the text post! If you have any questions on how anything works, you can always make a text post to ask OR check out the Help Center!
The upwards arrow icon (in the lower right) lets you reshare people’s art & add posts to your personal Collections!
There’s a Dark Mode, in case you’re interested! Go to your profile, tap the 2 lined icon on the upper right, tap App Settings, & at the top of Preferences, there should be Light & Dark Mode options!
You can’t post art or images that you didn’t make UNLESS you have permission from the creator to do so. I’m pointing this out because people don’t seem to read the TOS & get upset when their account got banned for breaking the TOS they failed to read. It helps prevent art thieves & reposters from taking the attention & credit from the real artists on here; & the Artfol community has strong words about art thieves & reposters!
If someone ever comments something nasty on your stuff, just report the account for harassment, block the account, & delete the comment! Do not interact with these people! The Devs actually check the reports themselves & usually, problematic or bot accounts are banned once they’ve been reported! Sometimes it takes a week or two though!

Being active in the community tab will help people get to know you here. I also recommend using the tags for your artwork so it can be found in the correct categories. Commenting on other people's art has gotten me a bit of traction so I recommend that too.

Maybe I’ll start to do commissions here. So I can sell my art for the first time idk.
