Under the sea with no where to be...

Did you all miss me? I am so sorry for not posting more art, but life has been wild. I have been so busy and a little down if I am being fully honest, however I am trying to pick myself back up and get some fun personal pieces like this done.

I always love drawing fantastical things, and mermaids seem to fit since it is #mermay. For me mermaids should always have long tails, so I really upped the length of her's in this piece. Swimming all over the ocean? A tiny tail will not do! The colors were inspired by where I was born and grew up in Northern California, so this mermaid is probably living in a nice bright kelp forest.
