I second the XP-Pen tablet! I have the innovator 16 and it’s fantastic! I also have the 12.9 iPad Pro and that’s great for traveling or just when I don’t feel like using my computer to draw.
there’s cheap tablets for the pc from huion and such! i was also told that there’s a lot of cheap off brands from china that are like 15$ so if they break you can just replace them!
I’m using a Wacom One(2018?), this thing costs around 50$, there is no hot keys, but it works perfectly fine and you can do pretty much everything with it. The price of tech doesn’t matters at all, I know a lot of guys doing arts on old Wacom Bamboos and they are ok with it.
I’m not too sure about tablets, but I got a new Wacom Intuos Pro for about 250 USD- I really like it. Super portable and easy to set up and it works really well!!
if you don’t have a big budget I would recommend buying refurbished and/or slightly older models!! I saved about 300 bucks on my laptop just because there was a small scuff on the outside and probably hundreds if not thousands more because its an older refurbished model
Generally Wacom tablets are pretty good! I had a Wacom bamboo tablet that lasted me like 7-8 years or so? And even then it wasn’t the tablet that goofed it was the wire lol, so getting a wireless one would probably be super good! From what I’ve seen the pen tablets all around $100-250. These don’t have a screen tho so keep that in mind. (I also know I read another comment saying they’re not the best anymore hhh so I can’t fully vouch, but my Wacom bamboo was a tough little thing and I never had to buy a replacement pen or nib despite drawing every day on it 👌 you can also find replacement wires for em on Amazon still despite them not being produced anymore, so I hope this is a little helpful?)
If you can work with a tablet than doesn’t have a screen on it and have a fairly good computer to use I recommend a parblo tablet as they fairly cheap (around $40-$100 depending on which model you pick)
(( I wouldn't recommend relying on Wacom these days- they were the top name in the game for a while, but by now, other brands have more than caught up in quality while keeping lower prices))
I recommend checking out some xp-pen tablets. I recently got one that was about $400- which is honestly on the lower end of average for the really solid quality of the tablet. But it's a pretty big boi so you could likely get something smaller, maybe a generation old or something for a really good price.
