I never spoke fluent spanish, but I was able to pick up and use a few select words due to my family speaking fluent spanish
but when I started spanish classes, I was a little confused bc apparently my family doesn’t speak the “formal” version of spanish that you learn in class
my family usually used slang or “informal” spanish when speaking to each other. it wasn’t a huge adjustment but it did mix me up for awhile
(also, the class marked me down for using “abuelita” instead of “abuela”. like wtf? rude)Dec 1, 2021
