Thoughts on the Secret Invasion opening title?
If you haven't watched it, the opening title was made by AI

Personality, I think it's fine if they created the art, then let the ai work with the art.
It also goes well with the primus of the story.
As long as they didn't use others' art (without consent) to teach the ai
I could be totally wrong btw!!

It looks bad and I could have drawn something that also looks bad.

The green theme looks okay.

I, for one, welcome our new robotic overlords.

I realised using ai is showing how the skrulls are invading earth like ai 'art' is invading the art community👀 but I doubt that's what they had in mind lol
I think the art style is nice but they also could've done it without ai:/
The problem is that unless Method Studios goes deeper into how the intro was made beyond what they've stated ( https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/secret-invasion-ai-opening-1235521299/ ), we don't know if what was shown in the intro was the work of the team of artists assembled or not. It's just so scummy to do this during a writers strike, man.
I highly doubt it was trained on its own dataset of images where the images copyright owners consented to being used in AI training. It's probably just midjourney or dall-e or whatever else there is. But likely an earlier fork, BC the screenshots I saw of Samuel Jackson in it were WONKY AS FUCK.

Personally, I think any use of AI is stealing work from an ACTUAL ARTIST. who trained years to be good at their craft. An ARTIST could have done that intro and still got the same look. Disney, being very anti-union, of course loves the idea of not paying artists fairly though, so I'm not surprised THEY thought to do it. I'm just surprised they went through with the idea. Given the US courts have deemed AI generated works to be ineligible for copyright (:. Surely that means Disney can't copyright the opening (: (: and boy do they love their copyright laws (: (: (:
For the style/purpose it's going for, the intro is fine. The only complaint I have is that it's a Disney IP lul
