testing new papermixed media (there is even some washi tape in there), just a weird doodle to test some new paper I've acquired (I scored a whole huge roll of the stuff for $10, so even if it was only useful for doing preliminary sketches it was still worth it) It's coated poster paper, so one side I think has a plastic type coating, the only thing that doesn't bead up or smear off is ballpoint pen, but the OTHER side, well, it's awesome! It's only light (160gsm) paper but it takes watercolour without any hint of buckling, takes several layers of coloured pencil, handles ink like a champ and is basically my new favourite thing to play with. Gonna try some gouache and acrylic next, maybe I'll even prime it and see how oils go (thought that's probably a bit excessive)Nov 26, 2024
