The shadow here looks more like an aura than a shadow, because you put it all around your character
Where does your light come from ? What kind of light ? Sun light ? Articifial light ? What time of day is it if it's sun light ?
It's good that you are experimenting with lights and shadows, and I think you can push it further
You might want to watch some tutorials about it, because the color and placement of light can greatly affect the result of a piece !
