I never do the "check out my own page" after a nice post. It just feel so forcefully, and make the post meaningless. Plus. I feel so scared when there are tons of people looking at my art and get disappointed

Their “nice comments” are usually like ‘wow

’ and then the other 90% of the comment is ‘I do art too, please check out my account and follow

like my recent drawing

have a nice day’ like fuck off bestie

I usually delete these kinds of comments, they ain’t milking any clout from my post anytime soon

I totally ignore those comments, the more you spam me the less attention you'll get

It's pretty tacky, but a lot of people live in capitalistic societies where self-promotion is practically a survival skill. But, the best way to deal with nuisance comments is simply to block them. There's no need to waste energy on people who drain you, or make you feel like you were taken advantage of.

I knowww I normally love when people comment on my posts cuz it means they're telling me what they think of them, but the moment I see a "check out my page" Afterwards it's like it's just copy pasted tbh :/

Like, I usually check out ppl who leave me comments anyways, bc if they feel like my art resonates with them, maybe they have cool thoughts in their own art too!
But the only thing that brings me to the profiles of self-promoters in my comments is to check that sweet block button
