I just draw what makes me happyAny other artists here that work a full time non art job and go to school? I’m struggling to juggle just school, life, and work so I’ve just put my art on the back burner for now :( it makes me sad not having the time to create much now. Honestly same. My college and my work ate so much of my time. For me I found doing little doodles here and there helped especially if I had some free time at work or school.
I keep a calendar up with all my due dates and stuff and it helps me keep track of assignments or stuff I need to get done at work that day, helps me set up times to work on art projects. Maybe a calendar could help you too?

That in itself seems like an impossible task to manage.
But I totally understand the struggle your facing, cause I'm going through the exact same thing TwT Currently in my final year of college and I've completely have abandoned art because the amount of school work I have is insane( that and I'm a major procrastinator
). Its sad not being able to have time to even doodle, but priorities come first. As of now, im just looking towards summer break and maybe then I'll get some free time.
Sorry I can't offer advice, but at least your not struggling throigh it alone TwT. Hope your able to find some free time for yourself not only to draw, but to relax!!

Me! Time management is super hard. But literally any down time I have, I spend it watching Bob’s Burgers while drawing. But I guess my art routine consists of drawing for like an hour or 2 for maybe 3 weekdays & I usually dedicate a couple hours on Saturday to my art.

no clue if this would count as a job job, but i had a weekend job as a haunted house actor which left me exhausted on my weekends when i usually did my art
and, of course, i was doing a prompt for the month as well.
something that helped me was that most old artists didn’t bring out masterpieces every day. they sometimes went 20 years without bringing out an amazing, worldstopping piece. i think using the free time you have to sketch and then slowly work on it is better than nothing, and that got me through that halloween season.

I want to work on my VN so much but work just gets in the way and makes me tired Haha. It'd be nice if I could do half VN and half work but I need the money
I just try to set aside a couple of hours a day to at least get one thing done for the day. Just so it feels like something is getting done.
