FOGtober - A Drawtober Challenge

Drawtober season is around the corner and I thought I'd like to share my personal #drawtober prompts list. These prompts are technically specific to one of my OCs' stories (which is a YA novel style urban fantasy dystopian setting) and I need an excuse to start drawing that world instead of leaving that stagnant doing nothing. But you are all welcome to try out this prompts list to your enjoyment and any medium is fine. I have but a few rules: 1. You don't have to do this in order, heck you can pick and choose what themes you like combine them do it at your leisure. 2. Tag your fogtober art as #fogtoberchallenge and/or #fogtober2025 3. Fogtober Day 7: Dust and Decay

Whatever hope I had for catching up with my own prompts went out the window but I still want to make sure I complete this regardless. Also warning this piece involves blood and death.
Anyways I’ve been mulling on this particular theme a while and the first thing I remembered what happens when you die in “Not Toronto”. You don’t decay here the moment you die your body disintegrates into “dust” or mist and becomes part of the fog OR you become a wraith/ghost either way the dust and decay process still happens first. Also when I came up with this idea I saw this “blood pool” art trend that I wanted to try, usually it’s “animated” but I stuck with a still image instead. So the one in the blood reflection is my OC Black Heart when he was younger about 12. He basically witnessed his mentor/older brother figure Shade (the dead one) be murdered that’s basically the moment Black Heart realized one of the people he sees as family dead before his eyes (and then moments later he got killed by the murderer and woke up again with a metal mask grafted to his face but that’s obviously another story) But yeah bad enough he was kidnapped as a child and never returned to his family now he had to witness the one person who took him in disintegrate into dust before his eyes.Oct 18, 2025
