Loki Fan Art (Graphite)What does your drawing process look like?
It's so interesting to see different techniques to draw. Some people start with super detailed parts where they fill the paper with more and more details step by step until the paper is covered. I love these work in progress pictures where you can see the finished eyes but the rest of the paper is pure white. It looks like you cut out parts of a photo and put them on white paper And others start with a rough sketch and add the details at the end. That's what my process looks like. It's super messy and most of the time I don't even know what I'm doing You can kinda see it on the process of this drawing: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMebLmJRu/May 8, 2021
You've really captured his expressions here, and it's accentuated beautifully by the graphite :') also that badge was a nice touch haha, basically every Marvel fan back when Loki was first introduced :>
First I observe the reference picture in details , up close and from distance . Observation takes the longest time for me . Then I sketch down the shapes I have observed . Matching one point to other not by line but by sight . Once I see the proportions done with accuracy I shade the whole sketch with light shade then darken the depths accordingly . At last i put the minute details
