I think if you decide to shade, it would be good to provide a base color pallette on the side that can be used for reference

•Hi ! It's totally up to you. Both versions are great. But I was thinking that maybe doing a flat coloured one would be easier to others who might want to draw your character and all the details in their design. But if you want to shade it to make it look like more finished go for it !
