I do art trades a lot, actually! They're super fun and common on other sites lol.
It's easy, just find another person to trade with, agree on what you'd like each other to draw, and that's it! Then you just draw the thing and get your requested art in return.

•The only trades I've done have been in conventions! Artists usually see each other's work there and you can just go up to someone and ask if they want to trade. The answer is usually yes and it's very exciting. The regular thing is you choose something from them and they choose something of yours :)
