Here's a leopard drawing I made using photoshop. I tried to make the background look like it was watercolor, by adding some splashes of color as well as some smooth blending.
I took a paper texture from pixabay.com (royalty free images) and used the linear burn blending mode to layer it over the base colors of the background. (So that the texture showed through)
