The mermay
The mermay and the ningen were both artificially engineered creatures, and were used by humans from humans before the crisis.While the ningen specialized in speed, the mermay specialized in maneuvrability.
The ningn would carry a pack of about 14 mermays to enemy boats or submarines, then the mermay would sabotage them from the outside.

It now lives in a simbiotic relationship with the ningen in the crossway of fate, they target human boats and ask for a payment before they can let the boat pass, else they will make it sink. Said payment consists in deteriorated vegetables, and is used to feed the ningen, that cannot find vegetabkes underwater and doesn't have molars to chew it. The mermay instead feeds on fish, and uses the nigen's peed to get near enough for then to catch it.

Mermays are incredibly smart, and can roughly comunicate in human language. Its skin also becomes trasparent when in the water, making the muscles, bones and bowels visible.Feb 17, 2021
