Emma is the 'right hand' of the organization leader, Lynn, and they have... a complicated relationship. One could say they are partners in love and crime, but dig deeper, and things turn sour. Emma, in this case, seems to be a spy from another organization, with ulterior motives. It is unclear whether or not Lynn knows about this.
