Do you put your age or adult/minor in your bio?

Just thinking about which one I want to include in mine

In my bio, I put that I'm over a certain age but I didn't give the specific age for privacy reasons ✨ I decide to include a DNI for those under a certain age tho- mostly for personal preference or comfort I guess 😅 ?
I write my age because why not 🤷 I'm an adult and don't have a problem with people knowing how old I am.
I recommend that minors don't write their age tho to keep themselves safe
As an adult, I put my age, but I actually advise minors to not disclose their age or even that they are a minor, because they could unwittingly paint a target on their backs for creeps. They think they do it so people know to leave them alone "bc the law" but as a reminder criminals do not obey laws...putting up a "dni" indicatior is often just a flashing neon sign to creeps that says "harass me"
If I expose my age too outwardly, people might treat me different, and I don't exactly want to be considered profound. I want to have discussions on the same level as others.
Personally age for now, adult is too broad for me (especially since many are at different stages in life like an 18 adult is completely different than a 25 yr old, same with 30+). I like to be aware of any general power dynamics, especially if it's DMing people.

Though, for minors, it's best to stray away from telling your age of course for safety.
Yea, cause I’m a minor and would prefer to keep NSFW out of my community and all
I have a more rough version of my age in SOME of my bios because I follow a handful of folks on certain platforms that would probably mistake me for a child (& could block me by mistake!)

I don’t think you should be specific with your age (like 36 or something), no one needs that info. But to not accidentally be yeeted from someone’s following, just putting “30’s” is good enough.

Ultimately, I don’t think anyone should be putting their age out there because it very much can endanger you (especially if you’re a minor, NEVER tell people that you’re not an adult yet). But the “system” makes it where you can’t support some horror artists & the like if you don’t tell them your honest adult age via bio.
A nice middle ground would be to put an age range, 'early' or 'late' + whatever bracket you fall in.
yes i do. i don't really have a problem with showing my age
No, I don’t see why people would need to know.
I don't put my age or my stage of life in my bio for safety and privacy reasons, if anybody ask, i'll just answer vaguely.
I'll be able to put adult in August >:) . I personally do age
I recently put my age on my bio but I'll only ever do that on here bc I feel like it's a safe community <33
I feel like it helps others who wanna interact with me/ DM me or whatever know that I am a minor (which I know in certain apps it isn't smart to put your exact age in your bio) and maybe help adults to not try and pursue some form of friendship with me (the most that I really do if I interact with an adult on here is maybe comment something related to the post/ their account, like images/ text posts, and follow them. I don't ever wanna pursue anything more than that)
yes, i feel safe enough on artfol since it's a pretty niche community and most people here are in the same age range.

i like making friends and talking to people here, but ik some adults don't like befriending younger minors or minors as a whole. also some older minors find it weird to talk to younger minors (like there are 12 y/os here who lied abt their age when they signed up💀). it's the difference between talking to a middle schooler and a college student -- it's easier talk to ppl in my age range, and i want ppl to treat me like i am my age and not like a 13 yo (it's only a 3 yr difference but there's a huge maturity level gap)

(i sound like such a hypocrite since i was befriending young adults as a 13yo here and tbh i prob should not have done that looking back but i'm still friends w them now so like)
I have some privacy concerns about sharing my exact age, but people usually at least figure out what generation I was born in when I reference Good Burger in casual conversation. 😂
I usually don't like putting my age for privacy reasons, but on sites like Artfol where it feels like most users are minors, I want to be very clear how old I am.

I also wouldn't want someone to see "adult" vaguely on my profile and assume I'm like 19 when in reality I'm well into my 20s. Someone who is 16 might be okay with befriending a 19 year old adult, but not a 26 year old one.
Normally i just put minor, or neither.
Artfol is the only place I have my actual age in my bio, i think.. but, whatever you feel more comfy with! Depends on how much you want to share
Honestly, whatever you personally feel most comfortable with.
I'm fine with my full age. Some people aren't. I think it's good to state whether you're an adult or minor at the minimum? There's a lot of benefit to knowing that information. But if you don't even want to give that, you don't have to. You can choose how you present yourself to the world on the internet, so only tell people what you're happy with.
Not really, mainly due to privacy and to avoid others comparing others art (like those way younger artists who have thousands of followers)
I put none because I manage my profile quite randomly. But if I had to choose, I'd put the year I was born, so that people curious abouz my age can calculate it on their own and I don't have to update it every year😂 (because I would forget, since I manage this stuff in very random and chaotic fashion)
I don´t mention my age in my bio to have some sense of privacy. I say that, but I have mentioned a couple of times in the community section that I am an adult. I just don´t think my age is super important fact.
I would probably discorage any minors from revealing their age since I think sadly a lot of creeps may specifically target minors and just knowing someone is underage is enough for them to do/think horrible things.
Whatever you feel most comfortable with.
