Weeeeeellllllll, I did get more than a few questions, I guess! And it's been more than a few days!
So here!
Q: What is your favorite thing about bugs?
A: From an artistic standpoint, they offer tons of variety in design elements (shapes, color, etc)
Q: What is your favorite part of the drawing process?
A: I really like doing the phase after the initial sketch because That's when I feel it all starts becoming more "Real." But, I have to say, my favorite part is actually getting the idea and just...seeing the image so clearly in my head before before any lines are even put down. Nothing that I've drawn yet has ever actually lived up to that mental image.
Q: What is your favorite bug species?
A: I don't think I really have a favorite, but the first thing I thought of when I read this is this thing called a Mole Cricket. I think they're pretty cute.
Q: What is your dream job?
A: I'd like to be able to make a living off of writing my own books one day. And it would be super cool if I could make my own comics, too. That would be really awesome.
Though, I have to actually finish at least one of my projects before that can really start happening.
Q: Do you prefer drawing animals or humans?
A: I'm kinda in between. I like both. And It's fun to mix!
Q: Are Lord and Lady Dobson just a one-time idea, or are they part of an expanded storyline/universe?
A: I've got some ideas, but nothing really fully fleshed out yet.
Q: I bet you could turn the kingdom/village/whatever occupied by the Dobsons into a whole comic series. Do you have any such plans?
A: I had thoughts about it. It is Definitely something I'd like to come back to.
Q: Which other characters might be part of such a world?
A: I have some ideas.
I thought it would be cool if there was a rival kingdom with characters based on dragonflies, but I'm still not exactly sure how I'd like to do it yet.
Q: What do you use to draw?
A: I use my phone and MedibangPaint to draw digitally
