When you get old you eventually realize you don't care lol. However I do think I avoided it a lot when I was younger specifically because I felt like you have to have some objective skill to pull it off. It's much more "cringe" if you don't have recognizeable skill for whatever reason. So I wanted to get to a point where I felt like my output was consistently "impressive" before I was ready to tackle edgy material.
