In short, DC hired N. K. Jemisin, an amazing sci-fi novelist, to write a Green Lantern story. What resulted was Jo, a protagonist who I want more stories about, and a city that feels like a leading character as well. And I understood it perfectly despite being completely unfamiliar with Green Lantern lore.
