Lost bet
Fredas a day when Andrus, unburdened from her paladin assignments, would join in the excitement of the Imperial Arena. Thrilled to see great combat, it was a common place for the paladin. Relishing the matches and talking with others who put their Septims in the tournament, (Unfortunately, becoming a bad habit for the Orc herself.) And this evening was like the rest, mirthfulness of shouts, waved to irate boos. And murmurations of discouraged losers handing over their pouches of coinage, rattling, to the drunken winners. Among all the commotion, Andrus decided to stay away from the crowds this time. However, as she watched on into the arena, a stranger joined the slouching paladin. Andrus didn’t look at the individual but started conversing with them as she usually did with everyone...
I’m grateful to be able to finish this small comic, it was a constant battle of whether to bother working on it or not. But finally sticking with the illustration, I’m happy with how it turned out. But, I do need to work on speech-bubble arrangements, (and backgrounds; something to practice in the new year) because you might have to reread it a couple of times to get the full idea of how the comic plays out. Hopefully, it is not too disorienting for you guys!
A little morsel of lore: Andrus is a hypocrit; she detests magic casters, however she herself is literally blessed with magic. (Being a paladin and using divine magic.) And sees other sources of Magica as not “pure” Yet throughout her story that belief changes when she meets Clemence.
With all that said; hope your weekend is lovely and restful!
