Year of the Rabbit

恭喜发财，新年快乐！Happy Chinese New Year and HOPPY Year of the Bunny! Hoping the Year of the Rabbit brings you all happiness, prosperity, good health and a successful year ahead! 兔年大吉！ I know I'm late to the party but it's actually never too late to sent out Lunar New Year wishes within the 15 days holiday.

2023 marks the Year of the Water Rabbit and rabbits are one of my favourite animals. This year's Lunar New Year for me has been a very special one for the first time in a few years ️ I got to celebrate it with my relatives in Malaysia who I haven't seen in ages and participated in the festive activities Some of the biggest highlights are playing with the fireworks and crackers which is something I can't do back in Australia

This illustration is my first completed artwork in Procreate and I experimented with different brushes. It was definitely a time consuming piece cause of the details and I have been out and about exploring Malaysia. Nevertheless, I had a lot of fun designing this two Rabbit characters to celebrate
