i need help please 😭

So I’ve been pretty stuck on headshot and only head shots I’m trying to do more torso shots but I feel like I’m stuck, I don’t feel motivated to push myself I and go back to my comfort zone, I always do the same eyes and hair too, heck I don’t even know how to draw legs or arms or cloths very good at all, and my headshots are great either, I kinda want some advice or tips on what I can do to get better and improve on the fundamentals but also be motivated. Also are they any espesific tips for drawing bodies, like torsos and arms and such? I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT, you guys are incredible and thanks for letting me rant and for supporting me, thank you!!! And if made it to the end of this THANK YOU AGAIN!! ❤️

Ok so here is what u can do u can look at lots it refrences and then just try to get the shape down.
Alrighty here are my no holds barred tips!

1. Find high quality reference photos of people moving! - I recommend male ballerinas for this because they wear tight fitting clothing and they have muscles so it's a great anatomy lesson.

2. Find the pose you like and draw it as a stick figure. Do it again. Do it a few times. Just stick figures

3. Find the best stick figure you did, and build off of it with simple shapes

It won't be perfect, but the point of this exercise is the repetition. Every time you have to redraw it you'll notice something new that you might not have before. And doing stick figures forces you to break the pose down to it's simplest form! I hope that helps. It's an exercise I do when I feel like my poses are getting too stale. If you ever need any art advice, my DMs are open!
I love drawing torsos so maybe I can help! The way that I make them is to separate it to 3 sections (square sections) one for the boob area (same for men...I think lol), another for the stomach and one for the hips. Boobs are usually shaped like tear drops and the hips are kinda triangle shaped? (Idk how to put it). Hope this helps💖
Ahhh, I feel you! Trying new things is tough cuz it sometimes leaves you frustrated. But push on! You don’t have to practice every time you draw. Some days, you can just draw things that are comfortable for you and then practice other days. Do both. It feels better than to work hard hard hard on new stuff.

For me, when I feel like doing more dynamic poses but I’m not feeling up to trying to draw anatomy I’m not quite comfortable with, I use 3D models. I sketch on top of them and then go from there. It’s super helpful! I use them a lot. It’s not cheating and should never be looked down on.

Also, looking up tutorials is good too! Or looking at real life pictures of people and sketching out their pose but with your own twist or make it a character.

Don’t be hard on yourself! And don’t beat yourself up if somedays you don’t feel motivated to step out of your comfort zone. It’s okay. 💖💖💖
