Usually a basic round brush with opacity sensitivity, an eraser (soft edge + brush in erase mode) and a moving stuff smudge tool if I want to do some specific moving around (like fog).
Thatβs my usual go to wich I change up with texture brushes or something else if I feel like it ~
Changing it up from time to time ^-^

β’Depends on what Iβm doing. Normally itβs 3, bht if Iβm doing stuff like grass, I use brushes made for that hehe
β’
β’I use 1-5 brushes. Sometimes I do everything with the same brush, but recently Iβve been using one brush for soft sketching that I made, a square softish textured brush for my colouring, and a few extra brushes for certain affects C:

Krita
One brush. Two if you count the eraser.
I dislike using too many brushes since I have to then think about how the texture will elevate the piece and not detract from it.

β’Usually, it's just 3-4 - a pencil like brush for sketching, a pen-like brush for lineart, sometimes I need a different pen-like brush for helping out with flats and good ol' hard round for painting.
However if I do a background, the number of brushes can go up by who knows how many. I normally just try different things and mess around to get the effect I want. There's not really a plan or any particular number of brushes I favour

β’

β’I mainly use Clip Studio Paint and Procreate. I tend to use one brush for sketching, another one for inking, and either one or two brushes for coloring and rendering.
I rarely go above that.

β’I mainly use Procreate for digital art. I usually stick to one or two brushes for sketching. For colored illustrations, it's an average of four or five brushes.
β’
β’Honestly if Iβm drawing a person itβs around 3 to 4? I do my drawings on ibisPaint and I use the soft pen thing, airbrush, dip pen, and sometimes one of the chain tools? Idk Iβm not really a big βuse a lot of brushesβ kind of person
β’
β’No matter if digital or traditional, I usually stick to... 3 brushes? But mainly one big Boi and two just in case
β’
β’I use Procreate and Iβm so indecisive which is why I havenβt properly drawn digitally in a whole even though I really enjoy it
I donβt know what size and what brush I wanna use and feel like I canβt seem to find one that actually fits me best
