As of 5:00 AM (GMT), the Artfol dataset has been disabled and public access to the contents have been revoked. 
We'd like to thank everyone who has filed a takedown request, spread awareness about the situation and helped others with the process. Read more about this here: https://artfol.app/dev
We also want to take this moment to share where Artfol is headed. This past year we haven't been able to put out many updates, however, we've decided to invest more time into the platform with the goal of making Artfol sustainable. This starts with improving all aspects of the platform; starting with a completely new web platform. 
We've brought a lot of major features over already, everything from browsing, uploading, commenting and resharing can all be done from artfol.app!
As part of this shift, we’ll also be bringing Prisma to the web and introducing new features exclusive to Prisma users. Our aim is to both improve the core Artfol experience for everyone as well as ensuring more value to those who support us through subscribing. Prisma is and has always been our main source of revenue, so we hope you understand the need for this decision.
With our increased time investment, we will be able to work on improving both the website and app, as well as being able to dedicate more time to creating meaningful interactions on the platform.
We have many exciting changes coming and we will be publishing a roadmap on our dev log soon. Follow us @artfol to stay up to dateApr 22, 2025

Noticed a little issue on artfol.app! When clicking on a reshare from the notifications tab, it instead takes you to a post with just your @/ in it (so no reshare indicators, no image, etc, it looks like a plain text post). So for example, someone reshared one of my drawings. I clicked on the notification in the notifications tab, and it took me to what appears to be a plain text post by this user with just "@/username". Hopefully this made sense... I can provide images if it helps!

I know this might be a silly question but does this mean it will be safe now to post? Sorry, it’s just this whole Ai theft has made me quite nervous as of lately especially with recent events with studio ghibli and what happened on artfol has tipped the iceberg for me (;-;)
Also is there add possible way to add in any tools for higher security so no bots or ai scrappers can come through and just take people’s work away?
Though it is disabled and revoked- wouldn’t it be possible for the thief to just open it back up or is it like a way where they are banned and cant have access to it?

It's great that it got disabled, but how do we know the user won't just... enable it again? I thought that in order to get rid of all the data altogether, it'd have to be deleted, so is there just no chance of it being renabled? Does the scraper themselves still have access to our metadata?
