About volunteers... and free art

This was to remind myself of .the volunteer time I did 5 + years ago.
No matter your skill level, never work for free for anything commercial and remember, even if you are a beginner YOU DESERVE BEING TREATED WITH DIGNITY
If we stop taking free work "for the exposure", scammy contests and art tests, we can all protect the art community from those who try to exploit talent. Young artists tend to be insecure and can be easily lured into these schemes.
Let's keep each other safe

Although I regret falling for bad contracts and free work, I really hope that information and awareness can protect the younger artists out there. I almost quit making art at some point in 2018 because these awful work conditions can kill passion
