AP Art Piece 11: Comfort
This is the eleventh piece of my sustained investigation for my AP Art class. This piece was one that I rushed. I would've liked it to look a lot better or even redraw it but it's alright for now. It was meant to display the comfort I, an autistic person, found in art and drawing. The comfort I felt to truly connect to other people because of aspiring to be an artist. The first ever drawing I made as a child. I found that having a hobby helped me much more than I give it credit for. And I wanted to show that feeling. That nostalgic feeling. Of childlike wonder and happiness that I felt from discovering art. And the passion I felt to create more. It became an outlet for me to show how I felt. And I wanted to show that autistic people also often have hobbies to show their way of understanding their feelings and the world around them :] I made this with markers and ink. The color scheme is orange, yellow-orange, and red-orange to display the warmth of childhood.Jul 12, 2024#art
