Life is made of lovely encounters

I had created this postcard when I was just about to start a collaboration with a publishing house specialized in stationary.
They had several themes for me to chose from and suggest visuals. At first the collaborator was impressed, then after consulting her colleagues, told me that badgers were not so much "marketing-friendly", and then after I had made new suggestions for another animal, she told me the collaboration wouldn't eventually happen because my style was too childish (ironic when I was told by children's book publishers that my style was not childish enough).
After having been extremely angry, frustrated and sad by the situation, I decided that afterall I could do my own postcards out of it, and this is what I did !
What I like with this job is that, even if it makes things harder, there are nowadays so many ways to fulfill your projects on your own
